Magnify His Name - pour forth your praises today, to the Anointed One - Jesus of Nazareth, the Holy One of Israel. For He hath suppressed the strivings of the enemy, & overpowered the foolish ones, the strongholds who set themselves up against the knowledge of our Holy God & His salvation.
For who can tell the victory of Christ? Who can comprehend with human heart what He accomplished in the day of our salvation? When He opened all the prison doors for all time!?
GLORY to GOD & TO THE RISEN ONE! Hallelujah!
Praise His mighty Name - Rivers of life pour forth from the Throne...
Be obedient now, & serve Him always, with all of your hearts. For the Lord cometh in glory to judge the nations, & all things will be manifest in His sight. Beware of the anger of the Lord, the Almighty - swift to save, quick to bless, slow to anger. The quick & the dead will be judged with His terrible swift sword.
Therefore strengthen yourselves in the Lord - behold His compassion for the children of men. The rich He hath sent empty away. Behold, the mountain of the Lord, crowned in shining light as a jewel in the darkness. Let it be your beacon, your guide through the dry places of the soul...
Amen.

With such a dedication to the Lord standards are of course, therefore, high - accepting that the ability to be holy is not through our strength but through His! Covenant conditions are expected to be kept by members. This means that in the SONS OF GOD CHURCH Gal. 2:20 is real and practised.

EXODUS 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
JOB 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
DEUT. 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

MATTHEW 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

In overcoming the many temptations life in Cheshire & North Waleshas to offer, perhaps the biggest one is security in possessions. It is not money or possessions that God is against - it is the love of money, the love of possessions - in other words if your trust is in what you have - you need to sell it to enable you to have trust in Jesus. The Cheshire Oaks Shopping Centre seems to be the god of mammon worship centre on a Sunday afternoon!

I TIMOTHY 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
6:10 For the love of money (that is trust in what you have - wealth & possessions rather than God) is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Anti-shopping prayers Last weekend we took a prayer meeting to Brent Cross shopping centre in north London. This is an important part of our work where we play with ideas of worship and consumerism. We started by going into a some of the shops in the centre such as Gap, Nike and Benetton. Once inside we started giving quiet prayers to the products. As it progressed, some of us got down on our knees to give praise. So as our confidence grew as a group, the five of us spread out into the open areas of the shopping centre and we started shouting out into the cathedral of consumption. All the messages that are put about by advertisers are basically saying that shopping is the new religion. We were just taking it that little bit further. We had quite an interesting reaction. A lot of the shoppers were quite startled. Some of them laughed. Others looked at us as if we were idiots. Eventually the security guards threw us out. We're not aggressive and we know that what we do and film takes place on private property so if they ask us to leave, we do.

"I've got no illusions that what we do is going to stop people shopping but they may go home with a question in their minds about the society we've created"

Ministers David and Lindsay have learnt through the loss of money and possessions since entering Christian Ministry in 1988 that there is a place of full trust in God. Through submission to the will of the Father God calls his children to be in a position worthy of double honour.

I Timothy 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
5:18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

SONS OF GOD CHURCH has been brought together by God as a fellowship that has a heart to bring change, a change to bring a trust and adherence to God in the county of Cheshire & North Wales. To bring about this change we have, therefore, not joined the establishment. This is why we are not members of "Churches Together" or the Evangelical Alliance.

We are not members of "Churches Together" because the Church has never been apart, our unity being in Him first and not with each other! Those unified to Him come together by the Spirit rather than through the thinking of the flesh! With the increased activities of this group in forming local ecumenical partnerships from 1999 it is noticeable how our local isolation has increased, yet our international profile has greatly increased with being part of the worldwide move of God in restoring Prophets and Apostle as foundations of the Church - one Church - not churches!

COL. 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

An example of inter-faith ecumenicalism can be seen clearly on the Churches Together in Wirral, Cheshire web-site on which you can find apparent Evangelical, Pentecostal and historic churches aligned with Mormons, Buddhists etc. We are not in favour of instilling religious hatred but are in favour of showing a clear divide between religions of many gods to true Christianity that depicts Jesus as the only way to the Father; (John 14:6). http://www.churcheswirral.co.uk/browse.asp

We are not members of the Evangelical Alliance as this group seems to represent the new intellectual form of evangelical Christianity rather than primitive Evangelical belief that we must die first and allow God to speak through us; Gal. 2:20 - David Griffiths having been brought up in a true Evangelical Revivalist Mission Hall in Liverpool where the truth of Wesleyan entire sanctification was taught. We do not see this heart in what is often described as Evangelical Christianity today; instead we see a group that thinks about God rather than manifests Him; many "churches" having fallen into the trap of pandering to the new social conditions of immorality allowing members to live in sin casting doubt on God's covenant demand that a man should leave his parents and marry one wife. We challenge you to check the websites of "Churches Together" and "Evangelical Alliance" and find the emphasis on unity being with Christ Jesus first - for without this emphasis - there is corruption. Scriptural unity is with Christ Jesus first; John 17.

COL.1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence.

I COR. 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

II Cor. 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

The Spirit of Doctrine

Speaking against the Spirit of doctrine at Elim Pentecostal Church, Nantwich in the early 90's David Griffiths declared there to be a spirit operating which brought an emphasis on doctrine rather than an emphasis on Jesus. Jesus said that He of his own self could do nothing; John 5:30. This spirit made people think that they knew something and could do something for God.

Elim Bible College had changed from its early days of having students praying with all their hearts for the great campaigns of George Jeffreys. A spirit of doctrine had come in and students were becoming clever studying the NIV rather than the Authorised Version Principal George Jeffreys had brought to the College. Intellectualism had sprung up and a new "sound doctrine" which if you did not fit in this intellectual malaise, then you would be isolated and presented as "weird".

We in the SONS OF GOD CHURCH are a peculiar people, a strange people who have had to become foolish before we have been able to be wise in God, not working under the earthly logic the new courses now under secular Manchester University had brought in. This spirit of doctrine has brought an isolation to the SONS OF GOD CHURCH we enjoy because we cannot work with the new system of secular brainwashing the University system has brought in, only with those who have become fools first.

I COR. 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
3:20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

Minister Lindsay Griffiths's degree in Ancient History, Greek, Latin and Moral Philosophy taken at St. Andrews University, Scotland is still used by SONS OF GOD CHURCH in publicity to show that a course of study was taken giving clear understanding of the physical and spiritual conditions the Bible was written in of course fully inspired of the Holy Ghost. On education being submitted to God, He brings to life that which we have learnt as His Rhema word but the education given at the Elim College was not in line with the original vision of the founder resulting in a refusal by Minister Lindsay's husband David to accept the offered degree in Theology and Christian Ministry by Manchester University through Elim. The degree that is awaiting acceptance is a degree of the Holy Spirit manifesting through the original Elim Bible College founded by George Jeffreys, SONS OF GOD CHURCH having at its heart a determination to restore this College.

The A.O.G. Redemption Tidings had warned about the Higher Criticism of Manchester University in July 1924 and here was Elim offering degrees to its future ministers connected to a wisdom God has written would be destroyed; I Cor. 1:19.

This was the second meeting of GCC since the triumphant return of Pastors Roy & Pauline Harthern. There was a special message for Stoke-on-Trent, the United Kingdom - & the whole world writes Pastor E.M. Lindsay Griffiths of the SONS OF GOD CHURCH, Chester & North Wales who took the SONS OF GOD CHURCH Revival Elders Margaret Dransfield, Sheila Standish and Marjory Beynon with her daughter Ruth to meet up with the wife of International Minister Benny Hinn!

• Strongman spirits of Stoke-on-Trent were pulled down - gossip, lies, false accusation, religious spirits, dead traditions, all were pulled down. Also spirit of Absalom, rife in the Church throughout Britain. This is a spirit which tries to steal the hearts of the people, & the churches are full of "pastors" who are hirelings, false shepherds who care nothing for the flock, but use & abuse the people for their own ends.
• Stoke has tremendous Christian roots & pioneers included John Wesley; however, since the crusades of the Jeffreys Brothers, spirits have come in to steal the anointing. We must find & re-dig the old wells of revival. That is what Roy & Pauline are here for!!! He carries the mantle of his father & has come to dig up the wells.

Pulling down the mantle - Suzanne lit a candle representing the flame of revival & passed it to Pastor Roy first; ha passed it on to his wife. This represents also to anointing of the revivalists i.e. Roy & Pauline's parents.

• It is time for the women to rise up & follow their calling! Roy said the two people with the highest anointing for deliverance are: Derek Prince & Pauline Harthern!
• Suzanne started to preach on the Book of Acts - the only book without an 'men' because it is still being acted out!!! NB verse about "the people who have turned the world upside down"! God is about to do just this to those of us who are willing to be obedient to Him. Yes - there is a cost - God is not prepared to compromise - He wants all of us! When we have allowed ourselves to be turned upside down & to do whatever He tells us to do, then will come the outpouring of God's glory!!!
• "Where is the God of Elijah?" This is the cry for these days - combination of Elijah & Moses! Benny Hinn (and/or perhaps others too) have been told by the Lord that this great end-time outpouring/revival will come soon after 2 great men of God go on to glory. These are: Oral Roberts & Billy Graham. The Lord has told Oral Roberts that he will go to be with Him when he is 88 years old. He had his 88th. birthday last January!
• Suzanne's warnings & advice to pastors & their wives:
1. Make sure you have the right intercessor/armour bearers with you. [Suzanne's twin sister Leanne is her armour bearer]. All pastors need them.


2. Don't let any woman boss you around in church & tell you that she is the chief intercessor etc. She has seen all this with her husband Benny; with women coming into the church & wanting to marry him etc. She says: be on your guard & remember there are times when you have to be nasty when you're dealing with demons in people not their flesh & blood! She has had witches coming in who act like genuine Christians but are there to destroy the church. She says to them (basically): "If you've come here for deliverance, you're very welcome. But you're here to take over the church etc. - you've picked the wrong place & the wrong people!!!"


3. Pastors & wives are often abused - because they're giving out all the time they need times of refreshing & laying on of hands when they can just 'soak up' the presence of God.


• Ministry time / the Prophetic: Suzanne called Lindsay out to the front. This is what happened, approximately.


1. "You have been misunderstood - criticised - some people have been jealous of you. God wants to take you higher. You & David are going to enter the throne room of God. You have the fire of God in you - I break off from you that spirit of fear & intimidation. You are the chief intercessor; the chief intercessor for your church, David, your family - don't let any woman boss you about & tell you that she is the chief intercessor - it is YOU! You are full of the fire of God - you have a wider ministry than the ministry in Chester - you are to raise up many other women - you are to be a mother to thousands. You are full of the fire of God."


2. "The Chester church is about to explode - just do whatever God tells you to do." [Suzanne had already told us a story of a few years back, when God told her to dance in church. She was a very shy person & said: 'I've never danced in church, Lord.' He replied 'You can do it your way - or you can come up to a higher level & do it My way.'] She was saying to us to be completely open to what God wants to do through us.


3. Wave upon wave of the Holy Spirit engulfed me as I 'drank in' the presence of God. She told me (after I lay there for a long time, aware of His awesome presence) "God's not finished - He's still working on you. Keep a notebook by your bed & expect a visitation from God."


4. Margaret & Sheila were asked to com out to the front as well. They were to kneel on either side of me & pray for me. Suzanne confirmed that they were the 'right ones' to be my intercessors & armour bearers. They also fell down under the anointing!!! Sheila's prophetic ministry was confirmed. Margaret remembered the recent prophecy of Mark MacLeod which said that she was about to go to a higher level.


5. Suzanne said that I am the chief intercessor for my husband, to watch over him. As the church grows, which it quickly will as it's about to explode/take off - as is Grace Covenant Church, Stoke-on-Trent - more 'bugs' will also come in, which will need to be swotted/squashed!!! She also said "David has some people around him who do not have his best interests at heart. You know who they are." The task of an intercessor is to protect him against such people & to remove them from him.


6. She said to Margaret, Sheila & me to have prayer meetings 2 hours before the Chester meeting (?) & to pray highly anointed praise tapes beforehand (e.g. Carman) to get into the Spirit & we feel to pull down the strongman over the area.


7. "You have books within you - learning - even things you learned 25 years ago will come to the fore. God has given you all you need - it's within you - you just have to draw it out."


8. Ruth (Beynon) was ministered to by Suzanne on the way out of the meeting. Suzanne broke every generational curse from her.
