Have You Tolerated Jezebel? (Part 3)
 Suresh’s Testimony
Now aged 38, with 20 years in ministry – at age 19, he faced
up to devil-possessed woman in remote tea plantation. She tried to
kill him, but he had the victory & cast out 17 devils from her.
From this, 70 people were baptised.
Testimony
Suresh is nothing,
but Jesus through him can do anything! Suresh does not have to tell
us how to get rid of Jezebel – use the Word!!
How does Jezebel come in?
It is even in some pastors & leaders. Many churches are run
by Jezebel. See I Kings 16 to see how the woman Jezebel came into
Israel. Verse 29 “And in the 38th. year of Asa, king of Judah,
began Ahab…reigned for 22 years in Israel…& Ahab,
son of Omri, did evil in the sight of the Lord above all that were
before him.” NB This is not saying Ahab was a most evil king,
but “most evil of all.”
What was his great sin? See verse
31: “& it came to pass…he took to wife Jezebel…& worshipped
Baal.”
(1) Therefore the first opening for Jezebel is when sin abounds.
If you live in sin, you open yourself for devils. God will remind
you of this – to “correct yourself.” But now, the
spirit of offence is in the churches, so when leader points out people’s
sins, they get offended. Therefore in next to no time, you will find
yourself with more & more sins. Ahab was finally overwhelmed
by his sins. It says he exceeded the sins of Jeroboam.
The Background
Solomon’s son Rehoboam ruled over Judah (=tribes of Judah & Benjamin).
Jeroboam rebelled, & escaped to Babylon until Solomon was dead.
Jeroboam then became king of Israel. The Temple, however, was in
Jerusalem. So Jeroboam erected two altars: one on the northern boundary
of Israel, in Dan; the other at Bethel, on the southern boundary.
He directed the ten tribes of Israel to go to these places, & worship
two idols there – golden calves! NB this also happened when
the Israelites missed Moses, their spiritual leader.
The same thing happens today. Christians know what
they are doing is wrong; e.g. Sodom was destroyed for its' homosexuality;
Christians know this; similarly, Jeroboam knew he
was doing wrong. Ahab did all that Jeroboam did. Omri, the father
of Ahab, made a new capital, Samaria. Ahab then went & married
Jezebel. NB The golden calf was burned when Moses returned; the altars
of Jeroboam were eventually destroyed.
(2) The second opening: when we begin to take back things we once
threw away for God.
So, the devil will bring back your old bad habits first, before
tempting you with new evils. Idolatry, witchcraft, homosexuality,
pedophilia, incest, extra-/pre-marital sex, etc. – all coming back into
the Church.
I Kings 16:31 ”He took to wife Jezebel…& went & served
Baal, & worshipped him.” The name ‘Baal’ means ‘Lord’.
This is the counterfeit form of our God. When Joshua came into the
Promised Land, little by little they kicked out the other peoples & their
false gods. The Sidonians worshipped Melqat: Jezebel had married
Melqat & Baal together so that Baal-Melquat was the name of that
deity. Therefore, Ahab brought back Baal to Israel, with
another deity. “He served Baal, & worshipped.” You can serve someone without worshipping them. In our lives, when some evil object
is there:
• We serve these objects with good intent: to help people.
When people open themselves up to serve these
things, they open the door to Jezebel. All Jezebel wants is just a tiny loophole!
Often Christians get rid of things when they are born again, then
let them creep back into their lives again. If we start to tolerate
these things in our homes, these things can open doorways for the
spirit to come into our lives.
• Finally, when we respect objects more than they deserve – or
even people, e.g. pastor, husband, children etc. – that will
open avenue for Jezebel to come. Example: demonic objects inside
Dunkeld Cathedral – some of them Hindu!!! These were found
alongside words of the Bible etc.; yet these objects belong to
the devil.

Just because we have opened the door does not mean that Jezebel
will openly invade – because it is a very subtle spirit, therefore
will act secretly & come in a secret manner. Secrecy = occultism – Jezebel
is a manifestation of occultism, therefore in essence, is all of
these things: freemasonry, witchcraft, divination, etc. Because of
this secrecy, we do not know Jezebel is there until it has pervaded everything.
The satanic hierarchy: the smallest demon tries to come in first – then,
higher level ones. Jesus himself told the disciples this: e.g. when
he said “This kind goeth not out but with prayer & fasting.” Therefore,
first attack is on the weakest person – same in conventional
warfare: we attack the weakest point of the enemy. But in guerrilla warfare, they would want to target the top: e.g. Osama bin Laden
in 9/11 targeted the economic capital (Twin Towers) + the security
capital (The Pentagon). Conventional warfare starts at the weakest
points. The devil does do this – attacks vulnerable points,
loopholes etc.
However, Jezebel would never come the way devils
come – this spirit uses guerrilla warfare.
When Jezebel comes (because we open the door), it comes with a little
gift (like some customs among people). But the gift is going to be
evil, like Jezebel. It goes to Babylon, does some shopping, & brings
Babylonian stuff! See I
Kings 16:33 “And
Ahab made a grove.” The ‘and’ means he did not
stop in verse 32.
What does this mean? That Babylonian gods come
in packs, not individually. Therefore they need a grove. Ahab not
only brought Baal-Melqat, but also many gods: so many that he had
to make a huge grove for them. The chief of these gods was Semiramis,
wife of Nimrod, whose name had been changed into Ashtaroth. So Baal
was brought back from Canaan, Melqat from Sidon, & the Babylonian
gods, headed by Ashtaroth. See I Kings 18:19 – when Elijah
asked for the prophets who ate at Jezebel’s table to be present,
there were 450 prophets of Baal, but there were also 400 prophets
of Ashtaroth. This suggests that Jezebel knew these prophets were
going to be defeated – she sent all of them. And – she
sent the ones whom she did not necessarily want – i.e. she
kept the precious prophets of Ashtaroth (Elijah killed all the prophets
of Baal after).
These prophets of Ashtaroth became a secret society which survived
for centuries, & began to mingle with the Christians. They crowned
Pope Boniface I in the 7th. century A.D., & called him ‘Pontiff’,
originally an Akkadian word for ‘priest’ (not a Latin
word, as is commonly supposed). See also Joshua & Jericho – also,
the small town of Ai which Joshua attacked after Jericho. He was
defeated by the people of Ai!! See Joshua 7 – in verse 21,
he found Achan, whose real crime was that he took a Babylonian garment
from Jericho. NB also God called Abraham from Babylon & said “I
am going to produce a nation from you – which will have nothing
to do with Babylon.” See also Joshua’s word when dying – giving
people a choice, one of which was to worship gods “on
the other side of the river” (not the river Jordan, but the river Abraham
crossed when leaving Babylon). These were therefore Babylonian gods.
Here in I Kings, Ahab invites Jezebel – she brings Babylonian ‘gifts’ with
her (i.e. gods). Babylonian means “Antichrist”, therefore
we have to know our “Babylonology.”
How Jezebel infiltrates the Family
When Jezebel comes in, it attacks the father – it never attacks
the mother, because God’s precepts are the same today – therefore
Jezebel attacks the head of the house. When the father does not give
in, Jezebel will attack the mother, while continuing to attack the
father as well. Then it will go from the eldest to the youngest child,
while attacking all at once. NB the men in the Church are often the
laziest; if husbands do not show up at the meeting where they should
be, Jezebel is already there. Many godly parents suffer from having
ungodly children – because they are attacked in turn by Jezebel.
These parents need to get into spiritual warfare to get their children
back – no ‘counsellors’ etc will have any effect
in these cases.
D.G. – It is common to find far more women then men at U.K.
Church meetings. Jezebel has fulfilled the satanic role in bringing
this about – time now for family to be restored with all members
being in Church.
How Jezebel infiltrates the Church
- The Jezebel spirit attacks the senior minister first. The minister therefore needs to believe & know that there are devils, & to
be careful of the Jezebel spirit.
- Then Jezebel attacks the wife.
The minister must pastor his wife before the church. The minister
is his wife’s
pastor. Many ministers today have rotten families because not a
good pastor in the home.
- Next, Jezebel attacks the eldest child
to the youngest in the family.
- Then, the associate pastor & family.
- And the elders & their families. That is why the Bible
says that elders must be in control of their families.
That is why there are many churches with bad pastors, but the ordinary
believers are still OK. If they can find a church which is run by
a pure leadership, they can go into it. But many believers have nowhere
to go (sadly), & go to churches with corrupt leadership where
all they can do is pray!
D.G. We have recently heard of one “Pastor” in Cheshire/North
Wales who left his wife to live in sin as a partner to another apparently
thinking this is O.K. with the new society norms. God’s standards
are different for society norms today are Jezebel norms.
How Jezebel infiltrates Society
The leaders of society, e.g. party leaders, mayors - members of
secret societies e.g. freemasonry. The key members are very high
up in society, because Jezebel dupes the top leaders.
How Jezebel influences the Individual
When we open ourselves up, Jezebel attacks us from the top – the
head, the intellect. Therefore intellectualism is brought in by Jezebel:
makes people think – leads to rationalism, scholasticism, etc.
Example: young man at Bible College – Jezebel will attack his
brain. He will start to study & analyse, & compare the analyses
of others. By the time he graduates into ministry, he is already
confused. So, by the time of their graduation, many young people
have become intellectual geniuses, not surrendered Christians. NB Suresh is not against academics – he runs a Bible College!

should “make sense” – the way I think it should – therefore
I become the measure – if something is not right by me, I think
it’s weird – but I have become weird by entertaining
Jezebel.
If Jezebel does not succeed in taking over the head (intellect),
then it will attack the heart with passions, emotions & feelings – e.g.
Jezebel will tell you “The church isn’t loving enough” or “The
pastor has no grace” (too rude or strict – offending
you) – but the church belongs to God – He loves you!!!
You come to church; the church belongs to God – but Jezebel
makes you seek things for yourself.
Jezebel then attacks the feet – leads people into wrong places,
so that people would rather be at a ball than in a meeting on Friday
night. Example: the hotel’s “Christmas Day Special Programme”: get up, romantic walk, lunch, and rest & relax, Christmas Dance
(Santa there) etc. The title is Christmas programme – devised
by Jezebel – no Christ! This programme is not intellectual;
it attacks the legs, to walk where they want to be.
Therefore Jezebel has infected the whole of society, from the individual
to the Church. People are oblivious of Jezebel.
12 Things Jezebel will do when it comes
(1) Bring back old evils once eliminated when we became Christians.
(2) New, evil things with different labels: e.g. “homosexuality
is no longer a sin” – but it is still a sin in the Bible!
Divorce was once unheard of; marriage has been replaced by ‘partnerships.’ A
partner is someone you are in business with!!! So ‘nice’ labels
are given, so as not to ‘hurt’ people.
Also, New Age thinking; new
translations of the Bible. If you believe in an Almighty
God, if you want to understand His Word, you have got to grow! What
happens, in time, is the translation tends to simplify the Word of
God, to make people understand. In 1611, there were very few translations
available; therefore (logically) the holiness level of 21st. century
Christians should be much higher than that of the 17th. century – but
it is the other way round!
New interpretations, e.g. in the early
Church, Polycarp was burned at the stake aged 86 – he did not
know any ‘higher criticism etc. – but he was so committed!
Today, so many people know all this, but they are not committed.
The Jezebel spirit tells people that “old
is boring”, e.g. godly preachers.
(3)Jezebel deceives people with prophecies: see Revelation 2:18,
where the church at Thyatira “…sufferest that woman
Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess.” Jezebel comes with
prophecies; & this spirit prophesies correct things also. Do
not believe all prophecies, even if they are correct. Remember Jesus’ words “Lord,
Lord, we prophesied in your Name…” “Depart from
Me…” The people referred to here must have given true
prophecies & miracles, but their hearts were evil. Do
not run
with prophecies & miracles, even if they are ‘spot-on.’ Do
not be emotionally caught up when emotionally-charged people come
to you to deceive you.
NB ‘false prophecy’ does not mean
prophecy that is false. Prophecy can be true, but spoken with evil
motive. Jezebel seduces with teachings, not temptations. Temptation
is not sin: yielding to it is sin. Do not think this is Jezebel – it
is small demons, or even the flesh!
How do these teachings come?
(a) They can originate from within
you, & can stop God’s Word from getting through. This
then becomes unteachability, when someone is self-taught.
(b) They can
be attractive teachings from external sources (e.g. the GOD Channel
where some are very good, but others weird programmes). Most are
Jezebelian – can be very good scholars, who teach very well.
So, how do we know the difference?
(4) The teachings must be founded on Scripture, (not from many new
translations which are Jezebel in doctrine) not on experience or
scholastic sources. The Bible says we should not add anything new
to what is already written. If we do this it is Jezebelic in origin.
(5) Jezebel brings in immorality: see Revelation 2 “teaching & seducing
my…to commit…” (a) Jezebel first makes people
do immoral acts; & (b) passive immortality – for those
who will not do (a), Jezebel will make them tolerate immorality,
e.g. pastors allowing it in their churches. Example: a boy & girl
with an illegitimate baby are treated as a normal family, given communion
etc. by a moral pastor. But he is as guilty as the rest by his passive
immorality. These people must come to church to change – the
Church is there to change people, not vice versa. We must hug the
sinner, not the sin – must deal with their sin, or it will
reproduce & contaminate others in the church.
Challenge: if you
tolerate immorality, you are immoral [see Suresh’s book
on Revelation 2:18-20]. Example 1 : having
an unmarried couple & their
child to stay over the weekend on pretext of taking them to church
with you. Can not have them sleeping in the same room in your home.
Do not ostracize them – but your home is your jurisdiction.
You show your Christian love to them, e.g. by giving up your own
bedroom to one & letting the other sleep in your guest room.
Example 2: SKY channel has a pornography channel.
Passive immorality is to allow visitors to watch porn in your lounge & you
do not watch it with them. Example 3: Suresh does
not allow building workers etc. to smoke on his land, because he
has jurisdiction over his land - & because he wants to keep Jezebel
out!
(6) “..eating food sacrificed to idols.” An idol is
anything coming between us & God. Jezebel
shows other things as more important than godly things. Therefore, begin the day with
God – prayer & the Word – these are like our 2 legs:
Christians have to do these two things equally to move forward! Hebrews
10:25 says “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together,” i.e.
not to cease going to church. Why do people not go? Because on Sunday, ‘more
important things’ have got between God & us.
(7) I Kings, chapters 16-18 [continued]: Jezebel
slew many prophets of God. In chapter 18, we read that Obadiah secretly protected 100
prophets of God. Jezebel replaced the prophets she killed with false prophets of Baal & Ashtoreth.
There is also a corrupt system
in the Church. See Acts 13: they prayed, & the Holy Spirit told
them to separate Barnabas & Paul for the work. Now, committees are used to appoint leaders; If you oppose this, you are regarded
as a sinner, & you are “against the system.” “God
is a God of order” – therefore He is the author of systems.
Jezebel has brought in counterfeit systems. Ordinarily, democracy
is fine – but not for the kingdom of God.
How does Jezebel slay the prophets?
(a) By transferring leaders from one place to another when not told
by the Holy Spirit. In the book of Acts, the apostles should have
appointed elders & deacons. In the early days, the apostles were
still learning – their choices wrong. The Word proved in the
next chapters that the apostles are wrong in letting the people choose
elders & deacons – the apostles should have done this.
NB God is the provider, but deacons control many ministers. This
is Jezebel at work again. Many good pastors become frustrated, e.g.
if transferred repeatedly, the prophet in you dies. There are many
false principals of Bible Colleges & many false ministers & elders
(e.g. when someone without a degree is replaced by someone with one).
(b) Also, Jezebel can slay prophets by removing them from the ministry
(e.g. when they fall into immorality). Remedy – e.g. Suresh
never travels without his wife. Advice: pastors, take your wives
when going on these trips – many temptations around! Also,
in money matters there are temptations. Many ministers from India & Sri
Lanka seek jobs in other countries because of poverty. Therefore,
many schemes are used by Jezebel to remove prophets & replace
them by false prophets.
(c) Another method used is character assassination of
ministers, where people gossip & criticise them without
knowing their hearts.
(8) Causing fear to the faithful: see I
Kings 18&19 - after
his victory, Elijah rests. He did on Mount Carmel what no other man
had done (Suresh named his Bible College ‘Mount Carmel’ after
this!). But then comes Jezebel’s threatening note to Elijah;
her letter caused fear in Elijah, & he ran to Beersheba. Jezebel
is causing fear in many godly prophets – how? When
they are tired & alone, Jezebel does this through ‘paperwork.’
NB Before this in I Kings, Elijah had been in Zarephath, then had gone
to Israel – he had climbed Mount Carmel, & was very busy
humiliating the false prophets, building altar to God, slaying the
prophets of Baal, climbing back up Mount Carmel, running 12 miles
non-stop before Ahab’s chariot, & then travelling north
to rest. Imagine how tired he must have been! At this point he was
vulnerable, & Jezebel took advantage of this. Elijah was too
tired to think soberly – he did not have a very good servant,
or anyone else to talk to. Therefore, an angel wakes Elijah, feeds
him, Elijah sleeps, & has to walk then for 40 days. He meets
Elisha, who is then his follower for 10 years. For that time, Elisha
does not do any ministry, but assists Elijah. Therefore Elijah needed
someone who could throw words of encouragement to him.
There are three kinds of fear:
Phobia: this is psychological fear. It can be treated by therapy.
Paranoia: can also be treated.
Spiritual fear: see scripture – “God
has not given us the spirit of fear…” In Genesis
3, Adam says to God “We
were naked, & we were afraid.” This was the first
consequence of sin. See also Revelation 21:8 (re:
who ends up in hell?) “The
fearful & unbelieving...” Fear begins in Genesis & ends
in Revelation (lake of fire). It has come into everybody’s
lives – caused by the spirit of Jezebel. Spiritual
fear = the uncertainty of your Christianity. Therefore it is a form of doubt.
Doubt = unbelief, so that you are an unbeliever.
NB There are so many Christians in churches who are alone, because
the churches are wrong. Many people want the Church to do everything
for them – but you go to church to give, because you are the
Church.
(9) Jezebel makes people act: see I Kings 21, the story of Naboth’s
vineyard. Naboth’s vineyard can be compared to the kingdom
of God. We say “Inherited the Church from my forefathers.” Ahab
represents a worldly king; Jezebel says “I will give it
to you.” Has this not happened in Britain?
- Ahab lusts after Naboth’s
vineyard
- Ahab offers Naboth another
- Ahab was a king (evil) & could have
taken it! Instead, he came home like a spoilt child! He was acting
like a woman, sobbing on his bed etc. His masculinity is replaced
by a false femininity = acting. When associated with Jezebel,
that church or society becomes an “acting
place,” different on the outside to the inside. Because
you are familiar with all this “false love,” when
you go to a real church, you will be offended, & will
keep away from the “offenders.” Every time
you hear prophecies in the Jezebel churches, they are “good” things. You
do not need prophecies if the Word of God is fully
in you - & prophecy
must measure with the Word.
- Jezebel is showing Ahab her greatness over him, the king! Subtle acting – within this is self-apathy,
self-pity (Ahab).
- The spirit of Jezebel will cause people
to feel sorry for themselves – always “Me!
Me! Poor me!” If they
are Christians, the truth is “I was crucified with Christ – it’s
not me any more!” Jezebel also makes people say “I
don’t
have things” – who does not have needs? Many African & Asian
pastors say “I don’t have…” – this
is Jezebel.
(10) False authority: see I
Kings 21:8 “Jezebel wrote letters,
sealed with Ahab’s seal.” NB The Bible is the authority.
Many churches now run with many “authoritative documents.” Any
other authority is false. With pastors etc. – their
authority comes from the Bible. In this example of false authority, Ahab was
as guilty as Jezebel for permitting her to do what she did.
(11) False testimony: Jezebel wrote to elders saying “You
set up a couple of witnesses.” She made people lie: through
this, Naboth was stoned to death & his vineyard taken. See Isaiah
59: “…but you have lies on your lips.” The devil
is the father of lies – also, one of the Ten Commandments forbids
false testimony. Lies here equal false prophecy etc.
(12) Killing a Christian: Naboth was killed, only because he had
a vineyard. Jezebel wants to destroy Christians in order to steal the vineyard which is the kingdom of God. Jezebel is the most satanic
spirit – still trying to steal the vineyard – has to
(a) steal churches; (b) steal people in the churches. In 325 A.D.
(Constantine), Jezebel stole the entire vineyard, only to lose it
to Calvin, Zwingli, John Knox etc. in the Reformation. But now, Jezebel
has stolen the Reformed Church: evangelicals, pentecostals: today,
there is hardly a church left without a Jezebel infiltration. There
are however pockets of churches & Christians still unpolluted
by Jezebel.
Conclusion
God has given you a great insight into Jezebel & her schemes.
Jezebel did not win (I Kings), but had a gruesome demise 10 years
later. Already Jezebel is a defeated foe! The spirit of Jezebel is
not something to be afraid of but to be careful of.
I Kings 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How
long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him:
but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
It is not surprising that this awesome revelation of God exposing
the Jezebel came once more from Mount Carmel – the Mount Carmel
Theological College, Sri Lanka with present day Elijah – Principal
Rev. Dr. Suresh Ramachandran.
