Testimony
I was born in 1976, 23rd June, in Nyamache village Gucha District Nyanza Province. First born in the family of 5 members.
Sadly my parents had to divorce while I was 6 months old , my mother was married to another man, whereby I was regarded a bastard, which is highly rooted norm in the African culture.
I grew up with a shadow father, as I grew up I had to face mistreatments from him and most of my childhood life was full of loneliness, misery, cold blood and lack of parental love to a great degree. It was a traumatizing experience when I am in the world with none to call my DAD.
I pursued my primary education, and passed very well (that was as from 1981-1989, then joined high school, I did well but I had no money for further studies. That was between 1990-1994.
Due to this kind of life I opted for drug addiction and alcoholism & thuggery and robbery which did me no better, but only led me to disaster after another. Well it came to happen that I was able to secure a job as a salesman in a stationery shop in Kisumu city within my province, Nyanza.
At the end of the day while staying in Kisumu, Kenya in the year 1996, the Lord led me to attend a meeting hosted by Rev. Mark Kegohi of the REDEEMED GOSPEL CHURCH and Rev. Kepha Omae who is the Morris Cerullo Evangelism Team representative here in Kenya ministered that day ,after hearing the word which he spoke titled THE POWER TWINS ---LOVE AND GRACE. I came to my senses, over-came all that which had been tormenting me for years and realized that there was somebody who valued me, father of all lights Christ Jesus the anointed Lord and Savior. God had to set me free. I was convicted of my sins and I was led to Jesus and same week I was baptized in much water, praise God hallelujah.
I responded to God's call while working with the SEAL HONEY STATIONERY MASTERS KISUMU.
Well when God was calling me to serve him, I did not know how and where and when to start serving! But I had to obey anyway.
And since my surrender to Jesus HUNDREDS OF LIVES HAVE BEEN LITERALLY TRANSFORMED BY HIS MINISTRY.
The Lord has enabled me to date to speak in over 200 churches within and without my country Kenya. I have spoken face to face to over 150,000 students in our learning institutions. I have reached several hospitals in hospital ministry.
Over 500,000 have been ministered to in the Open Air Meetings, Crusades, Seminars and Conferences I have had the opportunity to minister.
I have the honor to minister to Prisoners in most of our Kenyan prisons with an inmate capacity of 45,000.
To serve better in the year 2004, God enabled me to undertake a course, I was awarded a DIPLOMA OF BIBLICAL STUDIES, offered by the Evangelical Alliance for Preacher Training and Commission of U.S.A hand in hand with the D.C.I Foundation of England. I do look forward to further my studies in the Word of God when I shall obtain funds.
Our ministry serves over 268 plus HIV/AIDS orphans in providing clothing, food and uniforms as the Lord provides ; we serve this dear ones in their homes , under the care of their guardians.
Due to my childhood experiences, God has given me a mighty and anointed ministry to touch people with the problems that I had undergone.
I do operate from a rental apartment in one of our towns here called KISII, where I live as a squatter, homeless
I had & have nowhere to stay and call home, even so I am happy no situation which is permanent, I trust one day God will get me a home to live in with my family.
Glory is to God's name that Jesus is able .At 33 years of age I am carrying the of Christ's Gospel banner high to the nations for the healing and restoration of those oppressed & depressed by Satan. God is able, for ages and ages AMEN.
The Ministry
Glory Restoration Ministries Inc. Kenya (City of Refuge) was founded in the year 1998. This is a ministry & fellowship, which is not limited within the four walls of our building. But a "Ministry & a Fellowship of Glory Restoration & Refuge Centre for the Needy".
The Lord placed it in my heart to call it a "City of Refuge", for in the Israelite times there were cities set apart for refuge and if any body who did commit a crime or an offence & ran unto that city, he/she was to be safe and death free.
So God spoke to me, to set up a Glory Restoration Ministry full of the Glory of God, hence a City of Refuge whoever who runs to this city shall be safe. Diseases shall be healed, Problems solved, marriages restored, Love for Christ ignited and above all intimacy and intercourse with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ guaranteed & experienced.
From this very Ministry & Fellowship The Lord Almighty has affirmed again and again that Nations of the world will be Reached, Healed and Restored.
We are purposed in sharing the true, everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ to anybody, anywhere, any time & by all means possible. This is in obedience with the Mathew 28 Command of "Go ye therefore unto the whole world preach this gospel unto all the world".
Our Ministry & Fellowship has comprises of a dedicated team of ministers dedicated to serving the local communities . We do meet every day in our church worship sanctuary. We are in a temporal rental facility.
We have had it in our focus to reaching the villagers with the true Gospel of salvation. Under my leadership God has laid it my heart to reach High Schools and local villages with the full Gospel of Our Lord and Savior.
The Lord is speaking to me to relocate to Nairobi and reach thousands of hundreds of our City Slum Dwellers who are held in the fangs of Poverty, Drug addiction and abuse, Alcoholism , Robbery with Violence, Great needs like lack of clean water and sanitation.
There are so many orphans this slums due to the HIV/AIDS PANDEMIC.
Our fellowship has had an uphill task reaching out the people over here due to lack of Funds, resources and equipment.
But God has been faithful and following His word to perform it. We have seen mighty healing and salvation.
Our Purpose
1.We are purposed unto effecting our goals and objectives to every person in our fellowship, community our Nation Kenya ,Africa and unto the entire world.
2. To support, under guard, strengthen and extend and conserve the results of the vision carried in our ministry for generations to come.
3. To utilize, maximize the potential of people, technology, time, inspiration, donations and resources released unto us.
4. To build an empire, strong, determined self reliant, progressive, and constructive in ideologies and purposes to overtake poverty, sickness and illiteracy at all costs and in all areas of operation.
5. To understand, articulate and demonstrate to the donor, or the financial partners’ community that we are faithful enough to be entrusted with finances, assets, equipment, and technology for maximum utilization for the best of satisfaction in function.
Statement of Faith
Glory Restoration Tabernacle Fellowship Inc. (City of Refuge),Kenya continually and steadfastly, upholds and maintains the following statement of Faith:
1. The Bible: We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God written by Holy Men of old as the Holy Spirit moved them.
2. God: We believe in God who is infinite, perfect and eternally existing Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. Jesus Christ: We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. In his Virgin Birth, in his sinless Life, in his miracles, in his Vicarious and atoning death through his shed blood, in his bodily resurrection in his ascension to the right hand of the father and his personal return in power and glory.
4. Man: We believe that man was made in God’s own image, fell into sin and was depraved abusing his free will.
5. Regeneration: We believe that the believer that the believer is enabled to be sanctified through the precious blood of Jesus Christ and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
6. Sanctification: We believe that the believers is enabled to be sanctified through the precious blood of Jesus that the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
7. Divine healing: We believe that man’s disease can be healed by God’s power because of he atonement of Jesus Christ.
8. Resurrection: We believe that all the believers of Jesus Christ to the last days for worshiping the Lord, keeping the fellowship, training the believer and changing the world.
9. Church Foundation: We believe that the church is found on the apostolic and prophetic foundation (Eph. 2:20), upon which Jesus Christ is the chief cornerstone.
10. Anointing Oil: We believe that the church will be anointed and shall be used for laying of hands to the sick, ordinary and in service 1Sam. 16:12, James 5:14, Mark 6:13.
11. The Church: We believe that women can preach the word of God and they were they were the first preachers after his return.
12. Women: We believe that women do have a role to play in ministry.
13. The Millennium: We believe that Jesus Christ will establish his righteous reign over the earth after his return.
14. The External felicity and eternal punishment: We believe that all persons will experience resurrection; believe to a sate of eternal felicity and unbelievers to eternal punishment.
15. Baptism: Water baptism by Immersion accompanied by repentance and is very important to bring one into a covenant relationship with God (Rom6:1-5, Acts 8:37 – 38, John 3:22 – 23 and relying of hands to children (mark 10:16).
16. Matrimony: Holy matrimony (marriage) has to be carried out in the Christian life according to the word of God.
17. Offering: Giving tithes and offerings, as unto God and his Grace has to be effected.
18. Fasting: Fasting when it’s necessary for casting out of devils breaking of yokes and obtaining answers to difficult issues and above all humility hence drawing nigh to God.
19. Night Prayers: Holding of night prayer’s/vigils faith through testimonies, singing and praying &Interceding.
20. Gifts: We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the operation ,demonstration and administration and the function of major ministries such as the 5 fold ministry; Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, as outlined in Ephesians 4:11-13.
The 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit as outlined in I Corithians 12:8-10.
In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, his statement of faith is the basic doctrinal foundation for this church and the same shall not be emended or deleted from those articles expected by vote or written consent of all the members.
Objectives, Visions and Goals
1. WIDOWS AND ORPHANS MINISTRY:
* Due to rising cases of poverty in Africa, family life has suffered a great blow due to diseases, civil unrest, tribal clashes, malnutrition, ignorance, poor income due to poor productivity and above, more threatening Aids-HIV pandemic.
* As to such hence GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA has been sensitive and engaged into offering remedies and solutions to ensure the well being of widows and orphans.
* GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA has embarked on a serious program aimed at reducing the number of widows and orphans in the society and making those widows and orphans already there to live normal lives.
* At GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we have had a statement from reliable sources that to date in Kenya we have more than 1 million children orphans due to the Aids pandemic, thousands of widows and widowers, children being the most affected since they have a future to face.
TARGET:
a. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA is visioned to set up a rehabilitation center to cater for the needs of this children which are as under;
i. Education (ii) Food (iii) Health facilities (iv) Clothing (v) Accommodation
(vi).Religions or spiritual nurturing
As a result, after finishing school on their maturity, they are rehabilitated back to their homes that they may be further helped to lead normal lives.
(b) GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA is visioned unto offering support other orphans who cannot be brought unto rehabilitation center due to unavoidable circumstances. This assistance offered to them is in terms of paying school fees for them, buying books and uniforms and offering of health facilities as per the resources that will be available.
Thank God we have been enabled By God most high to run a school which takes care of over 250 Orphans , Single parent Children and very poor children to have at least primary school education. This School is registered with the Government’s ministry of Education.
In the future God willing we look forward to setting up a rehabilitation centre and an abandoned Children Rescue centre.
(c) GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA is visioned to ensure that our increasing number of widows who are below the poverty line of approximately Kshs. 70 a day ( 1 US . DOLLAR); will be given any necessary and available support in order to raise finances to take care of their families;
* In so doing we shall curb prostitution amongst our widows hence destroying the Aids monster for those who are not victims yet.
* Under this clause also we shall conduct seminars to discourage wife inheritance which is a common vice in most Africa societies.
* For those old widows and who can not run businesses we will be committed unto touching directly their needs as much as we shall be enabled by God.
* Above all we shall be propagating the Word of God; unto which we believe has the source of every answer needed in the human life. We shall be ensuring the young children are brought up and trained in a Christian system. For the Bible says: "Righteousness exalts a nation" (Proverbs 14: 34)
2. THE HIV/AIDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGNERS MINISTRY:
* The HIV-Aids disease is a monster claiming not less than 700 people daily in Kenya. The most and highly affected tribes are the Luo, Kisii, Luyia (in Nyanza Province) and also parts of Coast Province.
* GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA as an entity has had a very high concern on how we can stop/reduce the effects of this disease and curtail it from spreading to the next generation.
* The most affected class of people are those between 15 - 49 years and in fact who are active people for the well being of the society, nation and the world.
* The disease has been highly accelerated due to:
i. High rate of sexual immorality, prostitution, harlotry, incest, bestiality and fornication.
ii. Traditions and customs: It is a norm that is accelerating this disease especially in Kisii people, the Luo and the Luyhia. These 3 tribes have a common spirit of wife inheritance and polygamy which has a result has left hundreds dead.
iii. Poverty:
Most people in this country have an average income of 1 US dollar per day - this is inadequate to meet the basic needs, hence our women indulge in commercial sex.
iv. The media:
Our papers and our electronic media are airing programmes which have had a negative impact in our generation. In fact our generation has been poisoned in what is aired or written as a result the "practice theory" programmes aired are phototropic in nature.
* In addition to this we do have hundreds of thousands of clubs, inns, disco halls, liquor stores; I tell you they have had a negative atmosphere to our people.
* As to such hence GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we are hereby committed unto ensuring that we do all we can at our capability to make sure that we have reduced the rate at which this disease is wiping away our people.
TARGET:
GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA is targeting the following that we may be able to dispense our roles in eliminating these problems and stop it from spreading.
I. For the Aids victims: we are hereby committed to see that we do visit those with Aids to encourage them and supply any necessary aid/help at our ability.
* We do also have a clause that deals with Aids orphans and widows/widowers as explained in one above. In fact we do reassure the victims that they can still live positively, contribute positively to the growth of the economy and well being of the families.
II. For the general public: GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA to schools, colleges, work places, villages, towns, in gospel crusades, in village gatherings, tirelessly we do go , teaching, rebuking and correcting people to avoid and do away with completely those norms, traditions and vices which are accelerators of the spread of Aids-HIV. In fact we are out at every gathering of people to ensure we pass a word of warning that this monster is out to destroy majority of those who are sexually immoral.
. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we are hereby targeting to garner finances in order to buy computers, printing machines that we can be able to communicate also through the printed media; handbills, posters and tracts that can penetrate even to the furthest corners of our communities.
III. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we are committed unto garnering financial support to set up an Aids Test Center where people will have an access to blood tests to know their status here in Kisii town.
IV. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA are trusting God for finances to sponsor programmes in our broadcasting stations, in both national language and also in vernacular to ensure that the message concerning this killer disease is put across accurately to save our generation from doom.
V. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA at all cost in conjunction with other church leaders, governmental leaders we are committed to fight wife inheritance in our African communities which esteem it and advocate for it.
VI. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA lastly are giving at a time when we shall be able to raise finances for a projector (video tape projector) to enable us record programmes and produce them to air time during our place to place campaigns.
3. PRISONS AND THE HUMAN RIGHTS QUIZ AND THE CRIME ERADICATION MINISTRY:
* Crime in our nation is at its high peak and also in every other nation where we go to minister the Word of God. Why? Lack of employment opportunities; traditional background e.g. The North Eastern communities in Kenya are known to be natural bandits and cattle rustlers. Poverty has also influences crime rate. In conjunction with the crime strategy we do have our Kenyan prisons with which we work with. You will never speak of crime and you do away with prisons and the human rights.
* In fact, in our Kenyan prisons there is a lot of abuse of human rights behind the bars. This comprises of;
i. Torture of suspects or cell in mates.
ii. Mistreatment and harassment of relatives of those jailed.
iii. Horrible living conditions in our jails.
iv. Long terms of detention minus trial.
v. Communication breakdown between detainees and their next of kin.
STRATEGY:
I. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we are envisioned to ensure that we hold as many Gospel campaigns as possible, since we do belief that the "infallible word of God is the only authentic" source of power to change humanity and overhaul all the negative vices in their lives.
II. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we are committed unto supplying material support to our Kenyan prisons to ensure good living conditions. We are looking forward to supplying more and more blankets, mattresses, medicines, clothing and food.
III. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we are committed unto sharing the word of God with prison in mates and prison personnel in the saving power of our Lord Jesus - that people even though they are behind bars they should still have hope to live positively and provide for families and the nation after jail terms.
IV. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we are very committed to ensure that women in jails are not subject to harsh conditions and intimidated or enticed to indulge in unfair immoral sex to be treated fairly in prisons.
* In fact women are the worst stricken and subjected to grave conditions hence unwanted pregnancies. As to such hence as a Christian organization we follow closely the well being of our women and young ladies in prisons.
* Why is this issue with a lot of weight? Our Kenyan police cases are known to be worse stricken with Aids-HIV due to horrible living conditions they do have, as to such we are careful so much to ensure the well being of our women.
I. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA together with the current Government we are committed to battle it together and ensure that our people in jails, justice prevails, communication between inmates and next of kin is maintained to ensure no breakdown of family.
II. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA in conjunction with other NGO's & churches we are committed to ensure that no freedom of life in a human being is not tampered with hence a peaceful conducive living atmosphere.
III. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA have a commitment to kick start lives of our people, initiate projects with that most of our people are going to be self employed hence self reliant since its evident that an "empty mind is the devils workshop."
4. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE MINISTRY:
In Kenya and Africa as a whole domestic violence is a norm that affects both parties in the family e.g. father, mother, and children.
But mostly abused are women and children, but for men, their incidents are few. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA under this clause we are going to deal with women and children and on how we have strategized ourselves to curb this problem.
WOMEN:
* Women in most traditional African communities are majority:
i. Home keepers - taking care of shambas, children and livestock
ii. Child bearers.
iii. Sex tools
* So to speak the truth women are so much mistreated, waking up early and sleeping late.
* An African woman approximately works for 16 hours in day.
* Women beating is a normal way, divorce is nothing for African men - as to such GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we need all the support to turn upside down every stone as far as domestic violence is concerned.
* We need to ensure that any grievous act done against women is brought to justice and books.
* Thousands of women have been killed brutally and those killers walk home freely why? This poor women have no people to stand on their behalf.
CHILDREN:
* Children are being subjected unto grave conditions and their destinies compromised at the expense of egocentric fellows who have wicked minds.
* Africa has got over 350,000 child soldiers whoa re risking lives and shedding innocent blood.
* We have hundreds of thousands deprived of the education, right to work in factories, mines, Asian and African shops without insurance and subjected to very low pay.
* Due to instability in families, we have our young girls given out for commercial prostitution. For example in South Africa, we have over 28,000 child prostitutes. In Kenya even though the numbers have not been disclosed the rate is alarming and high in deed.
* We do have illegitimate children in families (bastards) who are mistreated and deprived basic needs and their rights of life and education, freedom of speech being in question. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we are out to address these issues.
* We do have our young girls being abused sexually by their fathers. This is a common phenomenon especially for those girls who are illegitimate (bastards).
STRATEGIES:
I. We are out to ensure the common woman is educated on how to conduct herself in the family to ensure harmony. We also enlighten women on what the rule of law says as per marriage; so she won't be mistreated and keep quiet.
II. We are looking forward unto establishing an office whereby we can guide and counsel those who are products of domestic violence and advice them according on what to do and not to do to ensure the glory of the family is restored.
III. Being a Christian organization we are out and already we have been out to conduct seminars in various communities and churches to teach "family life" and this one has been very effective to bring a balance to our families.
IV. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA is committed to reach all those young girls who have been induced to commercial sex due to domestic violence and divorce, that we may guide them counsel them and take them back to school or offer them opportunities to join technical colleges to learn or train in some specific areas to be income generating.
IMPORTANT:
Under this we have a target of being in a position to acquire:
i. Knitting machines .
ii. Embroidery machines.
iii. Tailoring machines in order to offer.
I. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA also in the case of divorced women due to domestic violence we are hereby out to look for alternative issues and priorities in order to supply unto them finances hence initiate small scale businesses that they can be self reliant and self supportive and their children.
II. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA is out to ensure that every child is taken to school in case of any finances need arising we do supply as per what we have and we are trusting God for more to make our operation effective.
5.CAMPAIGN AGAINST FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION MINISTRY:
* Female Genital Mutilation is a vice conducted by most African communities. This act is real degrading and it’s commonly practices by the Gusii people, Kalenjin, Maasai, Samburu, Pokot amongst many more other tribes.
* Female genital mutilation has had a lot of negative impact in the current world and as to such hence this practice has to put to halt.
* In most African communities this so called rite of passage has left hundreds dead, with ill-health and with deformities.
* GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA being a bible based organization, will not advocate for female genital mutilation for the word of God only recommends circumcision of boys (Genesis 17: 9-14) and God's word is infallible and inherent. WE must obey it.
* Drawbacks associated with Female Genital Mutilation are:
i. Difficulties during child birth:
For the birth canal is interfered with.
ii. Loss of life:
Some die due to excessive bleeding after the rite.
iii. Early marriages:
Some communities give their daughters in marriage since they have a strong believe that their daughters are mature for marriage e.g. the Maasai, Samburu etc.
iv. Deprive of the education right:
Due to early marriages, these young girls will never hence promotion of illiteracy and foolishness which are difficult issue to handle.
v. Psychological torture:
When a girl from this communities which do conduct Female Genital Mutilation is not circumcised she is regarded as an outcast to the community taboos, hence this broods a spirit of inferiority on the victim - so better if at all costs this vice should be wiped away.
vi. Infections:
Since Female Genital Mutilation is conducted locally, many girls have been infected with various diseases.
OBJECTIVES FOR IMPLEMENTATION:
I. We are committed unto sponsoring seminars to affected tribes and teach them and enlighten them on the repercussions of this outdated traditional problem. This is very effective but needs us to go an extra mile as far as expenses are concerned, for to reach people in those remote areas there should be a mean of transport appropriate in those impassable roads, production of programmes in radio, in vernacular for the illiterate and printed matter for the literate people.
II. We are purposed to stage our campaigns in churches, learning institutions of all kinds. Since information is transformation, we should inform and teach our young girls who have not yet undergone this ritual hence always they have a decision.
* In our churches we keep the balance by teaching God's word purely as it’s.
I. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA in conjunction with the government we work hand in hand to as even there is a law against such vice, nobody violates it by taking a legal action against those involved.
* Also under this clause we are committed to educate the affected communities on the drawbacks of their girls not going to school; hence we completely fight the minor issues being given to marriage. This is realized by either implementing the law and taking legal action for those involved.
* For those young ladies who denounce this operations and face hostility in their homes and are kicked off we have and opportunity to hand over to the government to ensure their schooling continues.
* As pastors we also take the opportunity to host those who are kicked off from homes and are unable to continue schooling that we find for them alternatives by e.g. Offering to them technical courses e.g. Tailoring and dressmaking, knitting, embroidery of this undertaking we need finances to set up such technical centers.
I. We are hereby committed to ensure the destiny of our Africa/Kenyan girls isn't tampered with by senseless brute fellows who are out to pursue and accomplish their old traditions vices and customs in the name of custom maintenance.
* For this reason everybody can agree with us that we need all the necessary support either materially or financially ensure that this vice is fought maximally.
6. CAMPAIGN AGAINST RAPE AND ABORTION MINISTRY:
It is estimated that over 100,000 women die yearly in the world due to illegal abortion. Over 500,000 women die yearly of pregnancy related problems/complications.
* We have over 85 to 114 million women annually being subjected into sexual mutilation, harassment or rape.
* In Kenya, we have 5,000 dying of illegal abortion yearly.
* The woman every where has been mistreated sexually and abused. Whenever there is a civil unrest women are worst stricken as refugees. In refugee camps we have had of this helpless weak creatures being intimidated, raped or forced into sex unwillingly in order for their needs of hunger, safety and protection to be made.
* The woman and the girl has not been given a voice to speak when it comes to sexual affairs. We have incest being practiced and these issues go on un addressed.
* We have had minors raped, by police officers, the clergy, and administrative heads, still these things are un addressed. For example recently in February 2003, we had a police officer rape a minor and infect her with a sexually transmitted disease what a hell.
* We have had our wives and daughters in public offices being raped mercilessly in order to be enticed later by promotions or cash offers; I tell you somebody must stand up to shout until there is order.
* We had had our teachers raping and impregnating our daughters yet no disciplinary action is taken.
* Cases of rape have been rampant all over and they need to catch public attention.
* In our police stations our mothers, wives and daughter have been dealt with mercilessly and many have been infected with deadly incurable diseases. Everywhere every place the female being are weeping and ailing who can clear this mess.
* Abortion is all over. Daily our daughters are dying due to abortion only if we can comment for abortion is when the mother is at risk of losing life, but not when the mother is safe.
* We have had hundreds of thousands of women die due to illegal or legal abortions, I tell you somebody must stand up and clear this mess.
TARGET:
I. We are aimed at getting rid of these awkward vices, life destroying and murdering of the high order. For live starts at conception. Being a church organization the word of God says life starts from time of conception (Psalms 139: 14-14) This is to be realized by:
a. Advising accordingly those who have conceived before time of marriage.
b. We are also aimed at advising those who have conducted abortions and have had psychological tortures and nightmares, for most of them are haunted by those spirits. We guide them and counsel them and pray for their lives that God may clear their conscious.
c. For those have been victims of rape we do advice them and reassure them that all is to be well; rape is not the end of life. We nurture them in God's word and strengthen them in it.
d. Since most of this women or girls who have been raped seem to lose confidence will mean we are purposed to let them know and understand than not all men are rapists.
e. For those raped and are pregnant, we encourage them not to take life; but to compose themselves again and after giving birth we encourage them to go back to school, hence start shaping their destinies again.
f. For those raped by next of kin we usually have to keep them far away, the memories of such dirty ordeal may be washed off that is as to why we trust God for finances to set up big rehabilitation centers to guide, counsel and host victims of every vice.
g. Together with the government we are determined to bring to book any body who is involved in either an abortion (those who conduct) and also the rapists and have the law taking cause of their misdeeds. Doctors who do abuse their oath of service and indulge themselves in conducting abortions are to be dealt with accordingly.
7. THE HOSPITAL MINISTRY:
* We do have hundreds and thousands of people in various hospitals and others being helpless in their sickbeds at home.
* People whenever they are in such circumstances need a tender and a soft warm approach for the Bible says: "The light of the eyes rejoices the heart; and a good report makes the bones fat." (Proverbs 15:30).
TARGET:
I. We are committed unto reaching out unto those sick in hospitals and villages, since we believe that sickness are healed in the name of Jesus as per (Ps 103:3, 91:3, 107:20, Mark 16: 15-17, Mark 6:12-13). We share the word of God with them and we pray for them and it is our encouragement that God has healed very many people. We have the confidence to continue in this outreach.
II. We not only ensure visiting this sick empty handed but we also extend humanitarian support towards:
a. Providence to meet the cost of medicines.
b. Providence of finances to waive off hospital bills.
c. Providence to buy for the sick certain prescribed foods e.g. in cases of malnutrition, diabetes, etc.
d. Providence for the purchase of hospital equipment e.g. blankets, mattresses, bed sheets and other necessary. As to such hence we need more financial and material partners to outreach those in villages and hospitals.
I. For those who are ignorant about the need to go to hospital we counsel them and ensure that they have taken the appropriate steps to be treated and giving necessary financial aid as per our ability.
8. HEALTH EDUCATION MINISTRY:
* Sickness is at a pint of wiping out our people in Kenya and Africa's as a whole.
* Behind every transformation there must be information. It is expedient that we should highlight and emphasize on strategies that can curb the rate at which our society is being wiped away due to disease and uncontained health hazards.
* We do have arrangement of areas of concern which pauses a great threat to the well being of our people.
* As to such we do hereby commit ourselves to ensure that radical steps are put in place to reduce pollution, in order garbage disposal, practice of positive health activities.
* Due to ignorance most of our people are undergoing serious health disasters.
* As to such hence we are hereby determined to curb ignorance and foolishness to redeem humanity.
* Our zeal is to enlighten people of all walks of life on how to maintain hygiene and as a result we reduce the issues that stand as a threat to human life.
* This are some of the areas targeted for enlightenment:
i. The family environment and general hygiene.
ii. The town, urban center environment.
iii. Industrial environment.
iv. Nutrition and the balanced diet and water.
9.FAMILY AND HYGIENE:
* We do value the family as an important and basic unit of the bigger society. As to such hence we have made sure if we are going to win the big world and save it from the valley of diseases. We should do our campaigns from grass root levels.
* Most of our communities in Kenya eg. The Maasai, Samburu, Kalenjin, Ndorobo, Kuria, Pokot, Somalia (North Eastern Kenya portion) most of the population here is illiterate and are still held to traditional norms of which are destructive.
* We are for this cause purposed to teach this people on:
i. Boiling water before drinking or having the water treated with chemicals appropriate. We do appeal for the donor community to aid in drilling of boreholes.
ii. Discouraging this people from drinking un boiled milk, for it's a normal tendency and lifestyle.
iii. Discouraging this people from eating raw (uncooked) mean, eating dead animals.
iv. Teaching this people on the drawback of walking barefoot - since most of this people walk barefooted. Hence contacting disease germs.
v. Teaching this people not to share houses with livestock - since most pastoralists communities stay and share houses with animals. We emphasize to them on the likely possible diseases to be contacted when together with animals.
vi. Teaching this people on how to construct latrines, since most of this people don't have pit latrines so human wastes litters every where, every place. We do go out practically in conjunction with affected are leaders and church members to ensure we practically construct for them latrines.
vii. Teaching this people the importance of maintaining body hygiene, taking showers, washing clothes, need for putting on clean clothing, need of not walking half dressed or completely naked. As to such hence we do have a desire to supply this people with clothing and bedding, shoes, we need a lot of support to realize our goals.
viii. We do teach this people the need for better housing facilities. Most of this people have good poor housing conditions. As to such there is a subjection to bad weather which contrary to the well being of human life. Our brethren stay in poorly touched houses and poorly maintained.
10. NUTRITION AND THE BALANCED DIET:
* Most of our people in these backward communities are ignorant.
We are aimed at:
i. Teaching this people on the need of eating various types of foods in order for the body to balance and function normally and offer effective resistance unto/against diseases.
ii. Since malnutrition is a common logo in this communities we are entitled to teach affected people on the need of improving the meals and at times we are out to supply some of this meals for those with marasmus, kwashiorkor, amongst many more other disease. So not only are we to teach but also extend the necessary support needed since most of this people live below the poverty line.
iii. For pregnant mothers GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA is hereby committed unto teaching them on which stuff to eat and avoid anemia, leukemia deadly blood diseases wiping most of them due to ignorance.
* Under this we are also committed unto ensuring this people are subject to antenatal or post natal clinic to ensure no risk of infant death rate.
* Also we have taken the incentive to teach these local mothers not to overwork during pregnancy; for due to ignorance many have had miscarriages an avoidable due to ignorance.
* Also under this we teach our people in these uninformed communities on the need of immunization to avoid deformities and repercussions in the children's later lives.
11. THE TOWNS, URBAN CENTRES AND THE INSTITUTIONAL INCENTIVE:
* we are hereby committed unto teaching our people on how to be self responsible in terms of garbage disposal.
* We do emphasize for the need of maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in our towns and in our residential areas.
* We do take practical steps in conjunction with residents, villagers and church members of a given area to ensure we clean our respective areas of residence, markets, hospitals and places of work.
* We do encourage the general public to be disciplined in garbage disposal for the government; our town councils and municipalities can't do this work to the best of satisfaction.
* We are also committed unto ensuring that garbage isn't disposed unto our rivers and public places of function. We are hereby trusting God to give us such ability to even be able to give a hand more and more in cleaning our respective areas of function and operation.
* In our various learning institutions, we do advocate for ensuring of congestion limitation in places of sleep/residence.
* In our hospitals it has been our incentive together with the staff present to ensure that cleanliness of the highest order is maintained. We do emphasize cleanliness at all costs.
We have had a number of challenges for the effectiveness of this operation.
DRAWBACKS:
1. We have limited resources, to offer our fast communities. The demand is high and the supply low.
2. Transportation barriers: We have had these barriers, roads impassable, rough.
3. Language and illiteracy barrier: Most of the people from these communities are illiterate and can't understand the national language hence difficult in effective our campaign.
4. Hostility: Some tribes turn out to be hostile, while extending our campaigns hence, a break down to reach them.
12. STREET CHILDREN & THE HOMELESS MINISTRY:
* We do have a serious problem in this clause. Why? We do have an increasing number of street children. Day to day girls and boys are streaming into our Kenyan streets, for example in Kisii town we have over 1,000 street boys and girls.
* So we do have such urgent need to issue an immediate solution, or else we shall be overtaken by these street children called "Chokoras"(Street Urchins).
* Also in our streets we have increasing number of blind beggars who also number over 100 in our base town Kisii also who do need attention.
* So in our base of operation Kisii town we have no facility, to address the issues of this street people.
* Alcoholism and drug addiction have become the order of the day for these street children.
* Crime and thuggery also have surfaced rampant.
TARGET:
I. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA as an entity it is in our vision to establish an advice, guidance and counseling center to help in character maintenance, we should talk with these street children and address them in love why?
a. To know reasons for their decision to stay in streets
b. To trace their family backgrounds
c. To identify what they will like to undertake in order to live alive.
d. To discover and know what this people undergo in the streets.
I. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA as an entity, Christian in nature will like to nurture this street people in the foundation of God's word and train them up in a Godly way.
II. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA is hereby committed unto setting a home whereby we shall provide basic needs in life, education, or any technical training that
this people will be rehabilitated and later to be taken back to various homes (for those who have) and then set them to live again.
* Under this clause we aim at having a technical center to offering this technical trainings to them for example,
a. Tailoring and dress making
b. Carpentry
c. Mechanical engineering
d. Masonry etc.
I. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we are hereby committed unto ensuring that hose street girls who have been abused sexually are accordingly advised to overcome the past dark experiences.
* For those girls who have born children we are committed to advice them that life is not ending at having children before time, we nurse them and strengthen their hope again.
I. GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA for those street children who are not above age to go to school, we do secure for them vacancies to attend school. Thank God as from this year we do have the Government offering free primary education, only what we can buy is uniform, shoes and school books. Praise God.
DRAWBRACKS:
We have not garnered enough finances to put up such a permanent centre to run our goals. In fact the little support we offer is give/secure accommodation for girls in some Christian homes as we supply the basics as much as God gives.
13. CAMPAIGN AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ALCOHOLISM:
PRELIMINARY STATEMENT:
* Drug abuse and alcoholism are enemies to the well being of our society; a monster that which has enslaved many regardless of their profession and status.
* Drug addiction and alcoholism are very much, especially in Kisii - Nyanza Province we do have deadly liquor called "Chang'aa" an intoxicating drink. We have bhang (cannabis Sativa) we have miraa, imported/ferried from Eastern Province, and cigarette smoking, this vices are the peace and alarming.
* Especially the young generation, school drop outs, school leavers waster a lot of time in the inns, discos, & clubs drinking.
* Lives are lost due to these dubious drinks. For example Chang'aa kills hundreds of people yearly in Kenya, Kisii District being on the lead.
* There is a need to address and highlight what can be done to curb vice.
TARGET:
I. We are visioned unto setting up a facility to look unto issues related to alcoholism and drug addiction. Hereby we are going to be effective by:-
a. Guidance and counseling through the word of God propagated in crusades, seminars and village meetings. This has been effective and hundreds of people's lives have been transformed as a result.
b. Due to idleness we find that this vice is accelerated as to such hence we are visioned into setting up facilities and income generating projects to ensure our people are busy.
c. By ensuring that the law banning the production and selling of illicit liquor is obeyed unto the later.
d. Since inns and bars are legalized, GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA is committed unto ensuring that under age youths are not allowed into clubs, discos and bars.
I. We are committed unto conducting prayer and deliverance of alcoholics and drug addicts from those vices since we do believe in God's saving power.
II. We are targeted unto producing programmes to be aired in our broadcasting stations to discuss and deliberate on these issues seriously.
* That as a result our communities will be aware of what the draw backs of these vices are. This will depend on how much we can solicit from the donor community.
14. THE LEARNING INSTITUTIONS MINISTRY (YOUTH MINISTRY):
* The youths are tomorrow's leaders and torch bearers.
* The youths are the strength of the aging parents and mantle bearers.
* Having informed updated and well trained youths means a reliable society and a bright promising future.
* It is important to be on our feet to highlight on what should be best on our young generation, we forewarn them, rebuke them, advice and counsel them that we shall build and edify them to be a people who will be reliable to drive the country's economic, political and spiritual or religious stature.
As to such hence, everybody can agree with us that we should face our youths in all spheres of life and give them health guidelines, principles and ideologies which are success and prosperity oriented.
TARGETS:
I. We are hereby committed unto teaching our youths all over in:
I. Schools ii. Colleges iii. Churches iv. Hospitals v. Urban centers and towns .VI. Work places.
On how to maintain morality.
15. EVANGELISM AND OUTREACH MINISTRY:
GLORY RESTORATION MINISTRIES INC. KENYA we are visioned to lay extra efforts in outreaching.
We do realize our goals under this clause by working with other churches, ministries, hospitals, prisons, schools.
Not only do we work in Kenya but also we have started moving out of Kenya.
Apostle Joshua right now has several invitations to countries like Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uganda,Ethiopia, South Africa, United States of America & London.
We are committed unto preaching the pure undiluted Word of God. Soon you are going to see what the Lord has been doing in the Apostle Joshua meetings.
We do conduct Revival meetings, Conferences, Crusades, Seminars.
We as a ministry we are focused in church planting, Missions to reach the un reached minorities in Kenya and outside Kenya, Africa and across the Globe.

1. We have a long-term vision of initiating a Leadership Academy to train and equip men and women in ministry. With this we can also have short term leadership Impartations satellite schools.

7. We Trust God to set up Recording Studio AND A Radio Station. This will generate a lot of funds for the work.
